Marketing Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Institute for Culinary Education (91ÃÛÌÒß¹) is seeking a highly motivated and organized entry-level Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team in lower Manhattan. In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting our marketing and communications efforts across various channels.

This role is a key member of our marketing team and reports directly to our Senior Growth Marketing Manager. We support and reward creativity, performance, professional development and team involvement. We also have fun, and eat well, in the process!

REPORTS TO: Senior Growth Marketing Manager 

Specific Job Responsibilities: 

Email Marketing: 

  • Review and schedule daily e-newsletters for diverse audiences, including prospective students, active students and alumni.
  • Craft compelling email copy using strong calls to action to promote 91ÃÛÌÒß¹'s career programs, continuing education and recreational cooking courses.
  • Assist with creating and managing audience segments within our email management platform.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with the platform to ensure seamless email delivery.

Website Management: 

  • Assist in maintaining and updating content on the ice.edu and recreational.ice.edu websites.
  • Identify and address website errors, reporting complex issues to the development team for resolution.

Digital Content Creation:

  • Design engaging graphics for social media, email, websites and on-campus signage using design tools like Canva.

Public Relations Support:

  • Monitor media mentions of 91ÃÛÌÒß¹ using Google Alerts and Cision reports.
  • Build and maintain targeted media lists for press outreach.
  • Craft social media copy to amplify positive media coverage and drive brand awareness.
  • Develop and distribute weekly publicity announcements highlighting 91ÃÛÌÒß¹ programs and events.
  • Assist with live-streaming campus events.

Social Media Marketing:

  • Create engaging social media posts to promote blog articles and other marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with organizing and optimizing digital assets for use on social media platforms.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recent college graduate with a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, (or a related field).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling copy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Experience using graphic design software like Canva.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter).
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Positive, energetic, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with email marketing best practices and a content management system like WordPress is a plus.
  • High energy level, ability to work well under pressure

PAY: $45,000-$50,000

The position is on-site, full-time and requires flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts, according to department rotation, which is set in advance.
